I read the reviews about the vents issue, so I went to Lowe's today and purchased a new cover (same model #7553) which comes WITHOUT vents (item #180176, priced at $49.99). The cover looks exactly the same, but again, comes without vents so that you don't have to worry about rain getting inside. I took the cover out of the box, just to confirm.

Just got the new version of the 7553 cover with no vents at all. Perfect fit on my EP-310 and the material seems very durable. Should be great at keeping the snow out but I don't know if condensation will be a problem.

After reading the posts about the 7553 grill cover I called Weber and the customer service rep said that if I ordered the cover she would have someone in quality control open the box and make sure it did not have the side vent. Weber still has both styles in their stock. It looks like the only way to be sure what you are getting is to open the box and look.

Protecting your grill is important if you leave it outside all the time. This is by far the best grill cover we have had. It is easy to put over the grill, the velcro straps keep it from flying off, it fits the Genesis S-320 perfectly, and it is heavyweight. Recommended, definitely!

Highly recommend this cover if you purchase the older Model #9985 which has the rear vent located beside the lid hinges. I would avoid this newer verion, Model #7553, which has those awful side vents which are located over the top of the end tables and let in all the rain. The picture on both boxes is identical so be sure to look at the model number.
