Amazon.com Review For an airtight, secure connection between a liquid propane grill and its tank, barbecue giant Weber offers this quick-disconnect hose and regulator kit from their wide variety of genuine replacement parts. The regulator ensures that fuel safely travels from the tank through the hose to the grill, preventing any leaks or mishaps. This kit fits several Weber grills, including the Free Spirit 500 and 700, Genesis models 1000 through 5000, and the Platinum I and II models. The kit contains a standard 22-inch, rubber hose. The regulator features a brass collar that users pull back and snap onto the collar of a quick-disconnect-style propane tank, much like attaching items to an air compressor. Affixing the regulator to the tank for a factory seal requires absolutely no tools, while use of articles such as a screwdriver may cause damage. When attached properly, users may notice a gentle whistle or a hum as a result of the full tank, barometric pressure, or humidity. An air vent on the regulator also releases a hissing sound as air circulates. Such sounds are absolutely normal unless accompanied by the scent of gas. Grill owners in rural environments or with pets may opt to purchase a wire hose guard to prevent animals from chewing through the hose. A detailed manual assists users with kit assembly and safety tips. --Jessica Reuling

| Customer Reviews: Quality product and fast shipping. August 23, 2007 John C. Fuller 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a genuine replacement Webber regulator, not a knock-off.
The price was the same at my local home center and hardware store.
My advantage was ordering online from my home instead of driving there and dealing with the crowds.
The ordering was a snap and the shipping was quick, thanks!
Rebuilt Grill June 13, 2009 L. Hobbs (Salt Lake City,, Utah USA) A neighbor was discarding a Weber Grill last Spring because the hose flared up; I took the grill and replaced the hose and igniter with parts bough on Amazon; they were very simple to install, and I was able to give the grill to my son and his roommates for about thirty bucks. Beats buying new and cluttering the landfill with an otherwise great grill.
Weber propane regulator and hose October 1, 2009 Michael D. Tilton (Sandy, Utah) Product was pictured well and easy to identify. It was priced below products of other sites. After I ordered it there was follow up and a thank you. It was received quickly and works great.
Weber grill February 13, 2010 Plugster (Buffalo, NY) I bought a used Weber grill and I needed parts. Amazon is the place to look - they had everything I needed!
QUICK DISCONNECT CONNECTOR BANNED June 11, 2006 P. Lee (New Jersey) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I just tried filling my propane tank with the quick disconnect connector and was told by the dealer that this type of connector has now been banned by the government and he could not fill my tank. I called Weber and they confirmed this. Probably a safety concern although I never had a problem. I will now need to replace my grill LP hose with the screw on type of connector (QCC1 connection).
